Elm Tree Treatments
The Elm Tree was at one time the most popular tree in America. Many towns had their streets lined with them. But Dutch Elm Disease was accidentally brought here Early in the 20th Century and has destroyed entire populations of Elm Trees. The disease is carried from tree to tree by the Elm Bark Beetle. Unfortunately, once the tree contracts the disease there really is no hope for its survival. It usually completely dies within the first year. The only way to prevent the disease is to infuse the vascular system of the trees with a fungicide every 2.5 to 3 years. It is done a the base of the tree where the root flares are. We are one of a small number of companies that provide this service. If you have an Elm Tree, we strongly recommend having the preventative treatment done.
